A Very Busy Busam Weekend!

This weekend was the kickoff to a great summer of events for Busam Automotive. And oh man, what a weekend it was… 3 events in 2 days!

Event #1: Friday from 5 – 11 pm — Cincy Chic’s Red, Pink and Blue Event (@CincyChic)

The Red, Pink and Blue Event was a fashion show on The Purple People Bridge at Newport on the Levee. We brought down three of our most chic Nissan’s to compliment the great looking crowd! We brought a 2010 Nissan 370 Z, 2010 Nissan cube, and a 2010 Nissan Rogue!

What A Good Looking Nissan Rogue!

This Nissan Z was Red, Pink and Blued Out!

Instead of raffling off a weekend lease, or giving out service coupons we decided to theme our booth, “Live the Runway, Rule the Roadway”. We partnered with Spaaaah! and The Iron Horse Inn and raffled off 4 massages and dinner for 4! To get entered in the drawing contestants had to fill out an entry form, AND get their photo taken by professional photographer Kate Messer! Everyone had a lot of fun, we had red, pink and blue boas for everyone to use in the pictures.

Event #2: Saturday from 9 am – 3 pm — The Ohio Riverway’s Paddlefest (@Paddlefest)

I had always heard about Paddlefest, knew it was a kayaking event of some sort, but wasn’t really sure what it was all about. Luckily, through our partnership with Reser Bicycle Outfitter’s we were able to sponsor the event and bring down a few of our new Subaru models. We brought a 2011 Subaru Outback and a 2010 Subaru Forester.

At Paddlefest we had a great spot right next to the band, that made for a great afternoon. The best part about the day was being able to talk with other Subaru lovers! People came up all day long telling us about their Subaru, and how many miles were on it. We heard about on Subaru owner for life who had taken 2 of her Subaru’s back and forth from ALASKA! Pretty cool stuff!

Event #3: Saturday 4 pm – 8 pm — The Hyde Park Blast (@HydeParkBlast)

If you’ve never been to a live bike race, put it on the list! They are all kinds of fun! We had a great spot along the race course where racers would FLY down the hill and then head for home!

Our spot was also the staging area for all the racers. Here is a shot of Team Reser before their big race. Jason Reser, owner of Reser Bicycle Outfitters came in second in his flight!

This weekend was an awesome kick off to the summer for Busam Auto! Fashion shows, kayakers + paddlers, and bike races — Bring it on!!!

PLAY BALL!!!

There’s nothing more fun than watching some good ole’ fashioned Tee-Ball. The Busam Subaru sponsored Sharonville Shooting Stars were in action last night against Sharonville Ameristop.

One of many close plays during a great game!

The co-ed league is made up of 5 and 6 year olds playing their hearts out. These kids love it, and are passionate just like 5 or 6 year old should be. On one particular play a Shooting Star was called. As she walked off the field I could see her eyes swelling up, she walked over to her mom and started balling… her mom gave her a big hug and said, “it’s ok, everybody gets out sooner or later!”

These parents are the kind you want coaching your child’s team. Coaches Brian Williams and Kelly Meyer are awesome with the kids. Everything always positive, encouraging, and ensuring everyone is having a great time!

The league is structured to be instructional. Teams consist of 10-11 players. Everyone bats and everyone plays the field each inning. The ball is teed up each time by a coach who stays at home base. The batting team also has 1st and 3rd base coaches. For the fielding team 3-4 coaches in the field to control the chaos.

The quote of the night goes to two parents. I heard from a distance…

Parent 1 – “No playing in the dirt”

Parent 2 – (In a little girl’s voice) “But Daddy, that’s the best part!”

Check out some action shots from the game!
